Kwasi Idun Osam is an environmental, health and safety professional with experience across building and structural development and the oil and gas industry. His background includes environmental monitoring and assessment, pollution control, waste management, environmental law, occupational safety, permit-to-work, SIMOPS, emergency response, incident investigation, ESIA, environmental permitting, stakeholder engagement and compliance reporting.
He previously worked as an Environmental Officer at Tema Oil Refinery, supporting environmental monitoring, assessment of refinery process waste and the development of HSE advice, practices and policy arrangements, and has held HSSEQ roles with Tullow and MODEC with orientation in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
At BPDL he oversees environmental policies and practices, supports compliance with national and international requirements and leads environmental auditing and advisory work. In project and PMO assignments he maintains screening and permit trackers, reviews ESMP, CESMP and HSE plans, audits implementation, monitors incidents and grievances and reports material environmental, social, HSE and climate risks.
